Pelican Plunge

Pelican Plunge (2023) is an engaging and challenging game where players must fish, avoid debris and sharks, and aim for the highest score possible. Developed as a university assignment, this project was a collaborative effort completed over a trimester. While my two teammates were in charge of management and programming, I took sole responsibility for all visual elements and art, ensuring the game was both visually appealing and immersive.

The gameplay revolves around controlling a pelican, deftly maneuvering through treacherous waters filled with obstacles and dangers. The objective is to catch as many fish as possible while avoiding hazardous debris and menacing sharks. The game’s difficulty increases as players progress, requiring quick reflexes and strategic planning to achieve high scores.

Our hard work and dedication were rewarded when “Pelican Plunge 2023” earned a high distinction, the highest possible grade, acknowledging our exceptional teamwork and the game’s quality. Additionally, the game was showcased at various social events, where it received positive feedback and appreciation for its creative design and engaging mechanics.
